The Guerilla Event to Celebrate the Release of the First Japanese Album Got Cancelled!
Shibuya Police were Dispatched to Stop the Event 30 Minutes Before it Started!
The guerilla event to celebrate the release of SHINee’s first Japanese album was scheduled to be held in Japan on the 7th, but it got cancelled just before it started.
To celebrate the release of SHINee’s first Japanese album ‘THE FIRST’, SHINee was going to hold a guerilla event at 5 p.m. on December 7th in front of PARCO department store located in Shibuya, Tokyo, however, the police asked to stop the event as about 1,000 people gathered. Eventually, the event was cancelled 30 minutes before it began for safety reason and proved SHINee’s tremendous popularity in Japan.
SHINee was supposed to make a surprise appearance with dressing like Santa Claus and present the stages of album tracks for the first time at Shibuya Street. However, the event got cancelled just before the event began and fans and SHINee members were all inconvenienced.
Instead, SHINee’s ‘LUCIFER’ was playing on three large electronic displays at Shibuya scramble intersection for fans and “We would like to reward with the fan event which will be held at Tokyo International forum hall on the 24th.” Jonghyun said in an interview with Japanese media after the event was cancelled.
Moreover, Japanese media such as Sankei Sports, Nikkan Sports, etc. reported “The guerilla event which was scheduled to be held on the 7th in front of PARCO in Shibuya, Tokyo to celebrate the release of SHINee’s first album ‘THE FIRST’ was cancelled. Without any prior notice, about 1,000 people were gathered so the police were dispatched.”
Meanwhile, SHINee will hold ‘SHINee JAPAN 1ST ALBUM 「THE FIRST」 SHOWCASE LIVE’ at Tokyo International Forum hall A on December 24th to celebrate the release of the first album ‘THE FIRST’ and attend a live event ‘MUSIC FOR ALL, ALL FOR ONE’ which will be held at Yoyogi National Stadium on December 25th.

시부야 경찰서에서 출동해 행사 30분 전 전격 취소!
지난 7일 일본 시부야에서 열릴 예정이었던 샤이니의 일본 첫 앨범 발매 기념 게릴라 이벤트가 개시 직전에 취소되는 이례적인 해프닝을 겪었다.
샤이니는 지난 7일 일본에서 첫 앨범 ‘THE FIRST’의 발매를 기념해 오후 5시부터 도쿄 시부야에 위치한 파르코(PARCO) 백화점 앞에서 게릴라 이벤트를 개최할 예정이었으나, 무려 1,000여명 이상의 인파가 몰려들자 경찰이 출동하여 이벤트를 중지할 것을 요청하였고, 결국 안전상의 이유로 이벤트 시작 30분 전에 취소가 결정 돼 일본 현지에서 샤이니의 폭발적인 인기를 입증시켰다.
일본에서 12월 7일은 ‘크리스마스 트리의 날’로, 1886년 일본 최초의 크리스마스 트리가 장식된 날인만큼, 이날 샤이니는 산타클로스 모습으로 깜짝 등장, 시부야 거리에서 팬들에게 앨범 수록곡 무대를 처음으로 선보일 계획이었으나, 이벤트 시작 직전에 취소되어 팬들과 샤이니 멤버 모두 아쉬워했다는 후문.
결국 이날 시부야 스크램블 교차로 부근에 설치된 3개의 대형 전광판에는 샤이니의 ‘LUCIFER’ 영상이 상영되어 팬들의 아쉬움을 달랬으며, 이벤트가 취소된 후 일본 언론 매체들과의 인터뷰에서 샤이니 종현은 “24일, 도쿄 국제 포럼홀에서 열리는 팬 이벤트로 보답하고 싶다.”고 소감을 밝히기도 했다.
더불어 산케이 스포츠, 스포츠 닛칸 등 일본 언론 매체에서는 8일(금일) 기사를 통해 “7일 도쿄 시부야 파르코 앞에서 열릴 예정이었던 샤이니 새 앨범 ‘THE FIRST’ 발매 기념 게릴라 이벤트가 취소되었다. 사전 공지를 하지 않았음에도 불구하고 회장 주변에는 1,000여명 이상이 몰려 경찰이 출동하는 사태가 빚어졌다.”고 전하며 샤이니에 대한 높은 관심을 드러냈다.
한편, 샤이니는 오는 24일 일본 도쿄 국제 포럼홀A에서 첫 앨범 ‘THE FIRST’ 발매를 기념해‘SHINee JAPAN 1ST ALBUM 「THE FIRST」 SHOWCASE LIVE’를 개최하며, 25일 국립 요요기 제1체육관에서 열리는 라이브 이벤트 ‘MUSIC FOR ALL, ALL FOR ONE’에도 참가할 예정이다.
